After the July 4th holiday was a visit from our friend Jordan. Jordan is 9 years old and is from New York City, and he participates in a program called the Fresh Air Fund, and this was his second year visiting us. This program sponsors children in inner city New York to come to small towns for two weeks (or more sometimes) and get a taste of a different kind of life. It's wonderful, and we have had such a great time getting to know Jordan. We're hoping he can come for much longer next summer!
Here are the pictures of his arrival... we were pretty excited for him to meet Janie (last year I was very pregnant while he was here). He loved his baby sister, and I think the feeling was mutual.

Waiting for Jordan.
Together at last!
Being interviewed for the local paper.
Jordan LOVES watermelon!
Kisses already!
Holding hands, all the way home.
Teaching him to water the plants in the garden.
Cucumber!
Janie loves to play in the pea gravel.
This tiny baby rabbit hopped over and got stuck in the midst of our extra tomato plants. He was soooo cute!
Totally puzzled by this corner.
Janie has no idea a baby bunny is within her reach.
Working hard to get out.
Walked down the street to bring some tomato plants to our neighbors.
New friends.
This quickly became their favorite game.
We went to dinner and played golf with Grandma and Grandpa.
Back to their game.
Goodnight kisses for Jordan.
